Where will they be in ? years

Cody and I like to sit around and think about where our kids will be in so many years...Who knows. We think Cailey Mae is made out to be a dental hygenist...but who knows. Cayden, still thinking on his. Hopefully someone that makes a lot of money and can retire us out at an early age. However, I never really thought of them as always being my little kids. This Olympic commerical, thanks to Jessica Turner for posting it on her blog, made me think that they will always be my little kids. Hope you enjoy this commerical too. Probably one of my favorites.

Watches

So I wanted to give a shout out to my sister-in-law, Alisha. She makes these really nice watches for women and children. Cailey loves to wear them. She got two for her birthday and then just got another one for Valentine's Day from her Auntie. If anybody is interested in having one made she can make any color you want and style. Just e-mail her directly (Tcronquist@aol.com) and she will get back with you.

Aren't they so cute? I want one in every color.

Valentine's Day

This weekend was quite the busy weekend. On Friday night we finally broke down and joined all the other Emmettins and went to Idaho Pizza. I love their pizza and their salad bar. I don't even like salads, but their salad bar has so many choices that I can load my salad up enough that I actually like it! It was a great outing. The kids behaved very well and ate everything on their plates. Afterwards, we came back home and watch Couple's Retreat. It was a funny movie and we both just enjoyed the night and just lounging.

On Saturday night we were invited to a good friends 30th surprise birthday party. Cody's mom took the kids overnight, so we could enjoy the night and sleep in a little. I love surprise parties, especially when they are really surprised! He thought he was going to his wife's grandfather's 80th birthday party. When he saw everybody I thought he was going to die of embarrassment. After the party we went across the street to a local bar and enjoyed being around friends and dancing to a great band...The Pistols (if they are every playing around I highly suggest going to them, they are really good!). We actually closed the bar down; I don't think we have ever done that! I did not drink that night for somebody had to be the D.D.; however, the next morning I was sure I had a hangover. Not going to bed until 3:00 just is not normal for me!

Cody and I ready to go out

Sunday when we finally woke up, 10:00ish. We got up and got ready to get the kids. Cody gave me my Valentine's gift...new shorts and a shirt. We then went grocery shopping and then came home. The kids got some goodies (color wonder coloring books and a new watch band...see my next post of watches my sister -in -law sells) from their Grandpa Rocky, Grammy Teresa and Auntie Alisha to open. We got them a Valentine's book and a balloon. The kids got Cody some fudge and a Superman card that had their voices recorded and the Superman theme song. After opening gifts and eating all the candy they got, we played outside and then came in for a great dinner (rib eye roast). I set the table a little more special for tonight and the kids got a kick out of it. After dinner we just watched a little TV and went to bed.

Our nice dinner

I love weekends when they end in a very relaxing way....Hope everybody had a great Valentine's Day and enjoyed the little special moments.

Build a Bear Workshop and shots

So I swore that I would never spend 15+ dollars on a stuff animal...Well gone and done that and more! Cailey and Cayden had to go in for their vaccanations. Cailey had three (poor girl) and Cayden had two. Cayden did not know what to expect, but poor Cailey sure did. On the last shot she tried to jerk away and jerked into the shot.  The needle had to have gone through her muscle. I felt so bad for her. The people in the waiting room probably thought we were trying to kill her. So anyways for being such big kids (not really- they cried really hard, but I would have too) I took them to the mall to Build a Bear. Cailey got a gift card to use, but holy geeze is that place expensive!!! Of course, I could not leave without Cayden making one too. He got a choice between a dog, bear, or bunny because they were the cheapest! He chose a bear and Cailey made a dog named Cloe and got a puppy named Poppy. She had to choose between the puppy or an outfit and she chose the puppy! However, she could not get over all of the choices of clothes for the darn stuff animal. Maybe for presents she can go and choose outfits for it...We will see.....

so many choices!!!!

One day I will get one with both of them looking at me...

Cayden choosing bows out for his bear...just for the record, he only did it because Cailey got to.

Love is in the air

Cailey's heart hair for school

I love Valentine's Day...not the Hallmark day of buying stuff, but all the stuff you hand make with love and patience. We have been busy making Cailey's Valentines for her school. When I say we, I do mean everybody...Cody, Cailey, Cayden, and myself. They turned out very cute. I made candy sundaes for her teachers. Which I thought turned out cute until I took them to the school. On the way there they completely fell apart. So I had to turn around and re-do them at home to turn back around and let them fall apart again. I took them into the school and said here you go, I was able to mend them back together a little, but still was not what they looked like when I left.

I took the day off for Cailey's preschool Valentines party, which was unneeded because there was no party. However, I loved being able to come home and hang out with Cayden and get some much needed house cleaning and laundry caught up.

After school, I brought Cailey and one of her best friends home. We had heart sandwiches and fruit for lunch. After that the girls just played and Cadyen tried to be involved with them.

All in all, it was a great day. Oh ya, did I mention  the sun was out and it looks like the weather is finally going to start getting nice :) Yeah

Cailey working hard at signing her name (notice she always has her clothes off?)

Cody very proud of himself for helping (notice Cayden is naked to? He always copies Cailey)

So done with this weather!!!!

In the past couple of weeks the weather has been so yucky!!! I am so done with it! I need sunshine. I have been the most and I do mean the most CRABBY, CRANKY, SLUGISH mommy! The kids cannot seem to do anything right, but in the same token, they are being cranky too! We are so tired of not being able to go outside because the grass is too soggy. The grass cannot dry up because there is no sun to dry it up. The dog is getting on my nerves because he wants to come inside, but everytime I am ready for him to come in his paws are too wet! It just seems like there is an never ending to this weather. Cody is getting home later and later which also makes it a very long day!

This weekend really lifted my spirits! We left the cluttered house, the breakfast dishes in the sink, the mound of laundry and ironing and headed up North to McCall. It was such a wondeful outing! The sun was out and kids were in high spirits. I felt like I became a new mom again.

WE ate corn dogs and fries...Then went for some ice cream. Yes, I  know ice cream in the snow. I thought it was too cold for it, but Cailey Mae insisted on having some. So we took our icecream on the go and at it in the truck!

Here is one of the two pit stops we HAD to take getting there. Both kids, yes both, threw up all over themselves and the truck! I was really second guessing myself on rather of going or turning back. I did not want to be known as the stinky family walking by everybody.

Project Life

As I am uploading my photos onto my computer I though I would take a moment and chat about my project life that I am working on. I take a random picture every day and journal about it. I love, love, love doing this. I am documenting so much of my families life right now. Like I said it is very random, but I can already see looking back on this in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years it will be interesting to see what our life consisted of. I am not feeling overwhelmed with this  like my scrapbooking, which I still enjoy doing and need to get back into the swing of it. Here are my January shots from my pages. ENJOY....
