Resolutions

Where do the months go? Before I know it another year is over. What happened to 2009? When I was younger the days seemed to go by so slow! Now they go by so fast that I hardly have time to think what we even did for the day. This year I am going to set small goals to work on to try to keep the days so we can remember.
Goal 1: Take a picture everyday of the year and journal about it. I just recieved a new scrapbook kit called "Project Life" it is by Becky Higgins and I am very excited to use it. Basically you take a random picture everyday and journal about it. At the end of the year you have a whole years worth of pictures document. You work on it everyday, so I am going to try to do it NOT get overwhelmed with it.

Goal 2: Keep a cleaner house. It is not that we live in a piggy house, but there are days that I would rather not have somebody stop by because of the unneccessary clutter. Each night I would like to take the time to tiddy the house up. I aslo would like to keep a cleaner bathroom. Our bathroom suffers the most in our house. It is probably because nobody ever sees it.

Goal 3: Play with the kids more. I seem to get tied up with life. Even if it not important such as surfing the web or watching a TV show. I want to turn off the power and get down on the floor and play with the kids! There is always time to do that after they go to sleep. However, when they are asleep I would like to focus more on scrapbooking again!

Goal 4: Giving myself at least one day of the month for me! Cody always is busy working cows or working or helping somebody else and I get upset because I never get time to step away and do something I enjoy. I would like to try to give me one day or even a night to scrapbook or go shopping or even get a massage. Not only will I feel better having some personal time I think my husband and kids would appreciate me more too!

Goal 5: Cody and I go on at least one date per month! We are lucky to go on one date every 3 or so months. We really need to step away and take time to be together. Even if we just go out to a restaurant in Emmett. We just need alone time together.

I am sure there are a lot more things I should focus on, but like I said. I want a few things to work on.  I think these goals are mangable and I am going to try to make them work. Here is to a new begining of 2010. Hope it is a great year!!!

Santa Clause Came

Santa finally came to the Cronquist house! We were so excited for him to come. Cayden got a tool bench and Cailey Mae got the Loving Family Dollhouse.

For Christmas Eve we went to Great Aunt Kristi's house and had a wonderful time. I was able to actually dress the kids up and loved every minute of it. There are only a couple days out of the year that Cody will let me dress Cayden up in a sweater and Christmas is one of them. Here are the two all dressed up.
We got home around 9:30ish and it was time to put out the special key for Santa on the front door knob and set out the cookies and milk. Cody put Cayden asleep and I put Cailey Mae asleep. As we were tyring to go to sleep, Cailey could have sworn that she heard Santa on the roof. I really love the innosents of kids at this age. Cody and I finally made it to bed after 12:00 trying to finish up on last minute things. A little before 8:00 Cayden and Cailey woke up and wanted to see if Santa had come and oh boy did he! I am going to miss this season but always look forward to a clean house again too. Merry Christmas everybody. Time to go get things cleaned up, for this year we are having Christmas dinner at our house this year. This could possibly be the last year in this house for Christmas and want to make it memeroable!

Cayden sporting his new Elmer Fud hat

Cailey loves her new hat too!!!

Dinner was a hit. We had prime rib, candy yams, green bean casserole, and nice yummy rolls...Dinner was faboulous! My whole family was there: Kevin, Fawn, Johnnathon, Dakota, and Cheyenne; Tawnya, Josh, Tanner, Shelby and James; my mom and dad; Cody's step dad-Fred and brother-Chace, and then our two little monsters. Does life really get better than this when your whole family can be there together making those great memories together? I love this time of the year, but then it makes me wonder why we have to have some holiday to come together like this? Hmmmm???? Anyways, I hope everybody had a great day too. We recieved great gifts and hopefully everybody liked what we gave to them.

Traditions with Grandma Debbie

Cheyenne, Shelby, Cailey Mae, and Tanner (he did not want to be in the picture)

Every year my mom, Cailey's grandma Debbie, takes all the kids to a Chirstmas movie. This year Cailey was finally old enough to be involved. She was so excited to go to the movies that she kept asking the whole way there, "Are we there yet?" We went and saw The Chimpmunks, the sequel. She was such a big girl during the whole movie. She sat in her own seat, which she does not weigh enough to sit on her own seat, so I had to hold her chair down the whole time with my foot. She was so cute and laughed at all the funny parts. Maybe next year Cayden will be invovled too. Only time will tell. Thanks Grandma for such a great day and first time experience :) We love you!!!

The BIG 30...

So Cody just turned the big 30...30 use to seem so old. Now we are there. I am begining to feel my age a little more and when I turn around and see kids drinking and refer to them as kids, I know that I am getting old! Cody and I started dating when he was just turning 16! I still love him as much as I did when we were in high school! So in the spirit of his birthday I am going to list 30 reasons on why I still love him!
1. Always seems to be positive!
2. Great husband, he really does treat me like a queen.
3. Great Father! The kids could not ask for a better daddy.
4. Great provider. Even though he has to work out of town and we don't get to see him as much, he provides for us well!
5. Funny
6. Does not get annoyed by my stupid questions.
7. Great bar-b-quer
8. Always there to give a hand
9. Very witty! I wish I could think off the top of my head like him!
10. His passion for his horses (even though sometimes it drives me crazy!)
11. His relationship with my dad (I think my dad loves him more than me!)
12. His calmness! He never gets stressed and if he does, he never shows it!
13. His senstivity...
14. His family ethics!
15. His charm
16. The easiness of his likings
17. Does not care what is for dinner
18. His passion for life
19. The control he can have over a situation
20. His laugh
21. The little things he does for me to show he loves me
22. The way he treats my friends
23. His way with people in general
24. His honesty
25. The way he is with money (if it was not for his spending we would not have fun at all!)
26. His friendship with others, he has kept his old friends but always has an open door for new ones too).
27. His can do attitude...He always finds a way to make things work!
28. His smile
29. His patience
30. He is gets up with the kids (Cayden the most) and watches them so I can scrapbook or go shopping :)

Need a break

A Christmas gift for somebody special A little something for my room mom in my class

 gifts for Cailey's teachers

Yummy Chocolate covered pretzelsRudolph the reindeer cupcakes

So finally I have two straight weeks off. I am in much need of  a break! I don't know why I do it to myself, but I do...I was in such a rat race the last week of school before break. I had to get so much done in such little time. I am so excited that Cailey is in school and that I get to do cute little cupcakes and what nots for her class. I am also enjoying creating gifts for the teachers for Christmas. Here are a few pictures of my latest creations for teachers, friends, and family....

All I want for Christmas

So we are very excited for Christmas in the Cronquist house hold. Especially one little particular 3 (almost 4) year old!

So Cailey has made her Christmas list, thanks to all the commercials on the TV for the past three months.

1. A pony with sparkles in its hair
2. The loving family dollhouse
3. A dolly or two or three....
4. Play dough and things to go with it
5. New Crayons
6. A dolly that can take a bath with her

However, of course, it changes daily to whatever she sees in catalogs and TV commercials. I love the innocents of her age!

Cayden's List

1. A tool bench
2. Guns

I think I am still more excited then the kids just because they still are not too sure what to expect. I love Christmas, I don't think it gets any better then the dreaming of what might be under the tree when you wake up. I love now that my kids are getting into it too!
