OH my...How 4 years fly by!!!

I seriously sit here and cannot believe how fast four years has gone by! This time four years ago I was in the hospital waiting for a little baby to come, not even knowing what the gender of the baby was going to be. I was hooked up to an epidural (which by the way is the best stuff on the planet!), resting, and watching it snow outside! Four hours later, an announcment of a baby girl was here. I was in love and in so much shock! I could have sworn I was going to have a boy. Cailey Mae was born and looked just like her daddy. I loved her so much and was in a complete daze (which could have been the epidural still in me)!

Now, let's fast forward to four years later...

I am screaming and yelling to get this little girl going in the mornings. She is a lot like her Aunt Tawnya and does not like to get up in the mornings. She is a complete nut! She loves to run around naked and dance to all music. Her two favorite singers are Colby Yates and Taylor Swift (I think Taylor Swift is such a good role model for Cailey, on the other hand Colby Yates not so much!!!A bull rider for one and two he uses a lot of bad words in his music, but Cailey loves him because her daddy does). She hates to eat lunch and dinner, but is okay with breakfast when it is on her own time. She loves for me to go to bed with her at night and then sneeks into my bedroom sometime throughout the night and sleeps on the floor. She has given up on naps and then usually drops around 4:30 or 5:00 and then misses dinner and showers.  She loves all animals, especialy her horses, cat (Roxy), and her dog (Murphy). She loves to fight with Cayden, but is very protective of him when somebody else is around. She has a few "best" friends and a few more "just" friends: Cameron Brown, Tessa Farnsworth, and Raimee Person.  She is begining to gamble with us...How about 3 more bites or can I have another cookie and then I will go to sleep.

I hate every minute of Cailey Mae growing up! I love her to pieces and hate to see her grow and mature. I want her to stay little forever. But she always tells me, " I have to grow and get big like Tanner and Shelby so I can ride a bike too!" She is getting so funny and I love how she talks and her expressions about life.

Her is to 4 great years of life so far with my little girl and I look forward to so many more! Love you  bunches Cailey Mae...Mommy

Making the best of January

Since I was off for Martin Luther King Jr. day, one of my best friends and I took her two kids and my two kids to the Y.M.C.A for some swimming time. I hate to drive and she does not mind it so we pilled all the kids and their car seats and her sister into her SUV. The car was loaded.  The kids had a great time splashing around and I enjoyed sitting on the edge of the pool and talking with my friend. After that we went out for a nice lunch at Applebees. All in all it was a nice day!

Dear Sun, where have you been???

Almost looks like a summer day with all that sun shining down on his blonde head

So January is here, like it or not. NOT! But we have to deal with. I feel like January is like the 9th month of pregnancy. I am just counting down the weeks to the days of when it is going to be over. We are almost through the month and it has not been that bad of one. Today was a very special day, the wind had stopped blowing and it was about 53 degrees out! To celebrate the nice day I let the kids bundle up and play outside. I dragged the kids' table into the garage to be away from the small breeze and let the kids play with their playdough that they got from Santa. I hung out in the sun and read a book, when I was not helping Cayden open yet another color tub of play dough.  It was such a fabolous day that it really got me  into spring mode...Just counting down the days now!!!

Never too old to learn a new trick

So I take back everything I ever said in my last post. We loved skiing. It is the best thing. Yes, I am sure I will be sore tomorrow. But skiing was so much fun. I biffed it the first time I went down the hill, but after that it started to become natural! The sun did help make the event better. It was so warm that all we needed was sweatshirts and pants! It was so nice and so much fun. I am so grateful for my sister taking us and showing us the loops. I guess I will have to adventure off of the bunny hill someday, but for now I will take the bunny hill and love it! I am so proud of Cailey. She did so well and she biffed it too, but realized that the snow was not going to hurt her when she fell. Eventually she started to zoom right down the hilll. She needs to learn how to stop and realize that Aunt Tawnya will not be there to catch her, but for a 3 year old I am very proud of her.

She was so proud of her little skis...so was her mommy too!

Too Old to learn how to ski???

So my sis is braving it and taking me, Cailey Mae, and my niece Shelby to Bogus Basin to learn how to ski! I am so excited for Cailey to learn that I really don't care about me going. All I want to do is take  pics anyways, but Tawnya has me convinced that I need to learn how. I am trying to convince myself that I need to learn a winter sport that I can enjoy since we will be moving up to winterland world one day! So as I go get everything packed for tomorrow, wish me luck for I am a nervous wreck!!! I am sure I will not be able to move on Monday, but I am always in for a little fun. Knowing me I will probably end up in the lodge drinking hot chocolate and wondering why I was talked into something so out of the normal for me!!! Pics will be posted later.
