Frankenstein

I was at my friends house looking through her scrapbook magazines and thought these Frankensteins were adorable...

Out of Scrapbook Etc...

So of course, I had to make them for Cailey's class. All 34 of them!  I knew it was going to take forever to make, so I started on them a week ahead of time...Here is what I did

Day 1... I scored all the paper

Day 2...I folded and glued all the boxes together

Day 3...This one took forever, cut 136 pieces of black paper 2 X 4 and then cut zig zags for the hair and glue the hair on...Thanks Shelby  and Cailey for helping with this one.

Day 4...glue the eyes and noses on, hot glue the bolts on (Rollo's), draw the smile and fill with popcorn.

Here is all 34 of them

Up close...

Mistakes made: I actually air popped the popcorn...Never again!!!Don't be cheap and just by microwavable popcorn!!!

Halloween Party

I love fall...I love everything about it! Especially the fun parties that go along!

Today I took the day off for Cailey's preschool Halloween party. I love going to her school functions and being a parent is my first priority! My job comes second and will always come second!

We started a week ago on this project . We had a great time and I have my niece Shelby to thank and Cailey for helping me with this project!

The kids are asked to bring their costumes in a sack and they put their costumes on before the party. Cailey's was easy. She wore her tutu and body suit and she just had to put on her ears and tail.

She is such a cute black kitty!!!I can't wait for Halloween to put on her black whiskers and paint her nose pink.

Mrs. Riggans and Cailey...it is soo funny all the kids get a turn to stand in the middle and the rest of the class gets to figure out who is in the middle...

Yearly Tradition...Perdum's Pumpkin Patch

Growing up I really did not have a yearly tradition that I looked forward to going to every year. Maybe the Cherry Festival, but is that really a tradition?

I started taking Miss Cailey Mae to the pumpkin patch before she was even a year old. 4 years later and we are still going. I look forward to going to Perdum's every fall. Two years ago, I started taking Cadyen. He couldn't even walk yet and I threw him out in the patch as well.

This year I took the day off to go with Cailey's preschool class. Cailey did not want Cayden to go, but I insisted that he went because it was our tradition.

We had a great time. The pictures are what they are because of two little ones that don't like to stop and take a picture.

Cailey loved running around and Cayden...well he loved the tractor. I could hardly get him off of it!

It was fun taking Cailey and Cayden and seeing Cailey around her other school mates.

Thanks Cailey for letting us both come along!

Cailey has always loved finding "unique" pumpkins...After she found this one a little girl (she shall remand nameless) said, "Look that looks like a huge bottle of wine!" Love it! Her Grandma was horrified!

The love of the tractor by all the kids...especially this little boy!!!

Cailey's little pumpkins that she loved!!!

Cameron B.

So I would like to take a little moment and brag about one of my best friends, Becky Brown, she has the most adorable new baby boy, Brody Steven, (I might add, that she had him in 14 minutes with no drugs...not even an IV! And she had contractions for weeks before delivery) and two other wonderful kids. She has done a wonderful job raising her kids, they are very well mannered!  And her house is always clean...clean clean, not the I just cleaned because you were coming over, but always clean!!!

On Saturday I took Cameron up to a friends apple orchard to take some pictures of her and they turned out great. Cameron is such a ham and totally played it up for the camera.

Thanks Cameron for modeling for me! I hope your mommy made you something really good with all those apples you picked!

Oh for the the love of homecoming!!!

I loved high school!

I loved every minute of it!!!

So of course anything I can do to re-live it a little, I will!

Every year I take the kids down for the homecoming parade...a little tradition I love to do with them! I love to dress them up in their blue and white and to cheer all the kids on. And of course it brings back all the wonderful memories.

Chace is riding Cody's horse, Blue, for the Rodeo club...

This year my mom cut down my old cheer leading skirt she made for me in 2nd grade so Cailey could wear it to all of her Uncle Chace's games. She looks so cute in it. Of course though, she will not smile nicely so I can get a picture of her wearing it!

The boys did so good this year and won the game...38-6. Don't think I watched very much of it because the kids get very bored and I get very distracted by everything else that is going on.

Hello October

Hello October...I welcome you with open arms...so does Cailey!!!

October is one of my favorite months because....Cool mornings, warm afternoons, sweaters & boot weather, (now I can wear my new outfit!) life seems to slow down, pumpkin spice scents in the house, fresh scents outside, really green grass, pumpkin patches, apple orchards, snuggle blankets, baking, crock pot brewing, crafting, fall bazaars, football games, family pictures, and fall decor...does it really get any better than fall?

I look forward every year to dragging out all my decorations (wish I had more) and decorating the house. I love going to all the craft stores and bazaars and dreaming what my house could look like. Maybe Martha Stewart can come and decorate for me or at least give me money so I can whip up some of her creations :) I love to sit at the table and do crafts with the kids. I already have my list of want tos to do with them.

In honor of fall and school pictures, I took my darling little girl (who thinks she is already a teenager),  to a friends apple orchard to take her school pictures. Even though she will not be 5 until January these are her pictures for the year..Of course, she did not cooperate. AT ALL! But they are what  they are and I am sticking to them.
