Not again, Cayden!!!

Cayden, my poor boy! It is going to be a miracle if he is left with any brain cells by the time he enters school! He hits his poor head daily on something or another!

Today I went to wash his face and he totally freaked out on me and ran into the other room. He continued to run right into the corner of a wall. I sure hope the fit was worth it!

My new love

It is no secret, I am madly in love with me new camera! I want to take it everywhere I go, but I don't want to look like the goofy, crazy, camera lady! However, I love it! So at any opportunity I have, I will probably be seen with my huge camera. I was lucky enought to get it with the help of a few people...First, my Great Grandma Bonnie she bought me a few savings bonds for my 1st and 2nd birthday which I just finally cashed in and they were worth almost $700! Then Cody threw in $150 for my birthday present and my mother-in-law threw in another $150 for my birthday and senior pictures that I will be taking for Chace.

(There was a bad shadow going across Cayden's face, but oh well)
This week my mother-in-law from Blackfoot had to come to Boise for training. We went over and visited Grammy Teresa twice. The first night we took her out to eat at the Olive Garden and then Cody took the kids swimming at the motel. The kids loved it and could not wait to go back over to the motel to swim.

The second visit Cody was already back up at work, so I loaded the kids up to go see Grammy. Instead of going swimming (I gave them the option), we went to the MK Nature Center. I totally thought I was going to get a great opportunity for some good photos, but not with my kiddos! However, I got a few that I was pleased with.

This is her force smile, but I will take it

This is how Cailey likes to roll

A pretty waterfall

A family of raccoons we saw (a total of 4) very exciting

My two hoots :)
It was a great evening. I just need to do it more with the kids. Not to mention that they slept really good that night too!

Living the life

At one time or another in our lives we have it great. I still think I live a pretty great life, but boy when you are a kid, life really is great!!!  What I would give to have the big stress of the day is whether or not I cleaned my room or if a friend shared a toy with me or not. Today I had one of my best friends over for artichokes...

Oh yes artichokes, for a little while we did share the life today. Then of course one of the kids start screaming (or worse... wants to share the artichoke with me!) and burst that little bubble.

I love how kids can be jumping from couch to couch or fighting over a toy and then all of a sudden their favorite cartoon comes on and they all of sudden hit a trance of some kind! Today Max and Ruby came on and they all sat on the couch and watched it. I did not hear a peep out of any of them during the whole cartoon. AMAZING....

I love this picture of them...

Awww...the life of lounging on the couch and everbody getting along and mom cleaning up after them. Could life get any better than this????

Almost!!!

I love going camping because for a few days I almost feel like I am living in a neighborhood! We have neighbors and paved roads and sidewalks. Yes, I know! Really not camping, but in my world it is! Cailey got a lot of practice riding her little bike this year and she was determined to take her training wheels off so we did...

and we have put them back on...I am very proud of her for trying, but she just is not that ready yet! Maybe next year. Great job babe for giving it a try!!!

Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July from our little family to yours
We survived yet another annual family tradition of going camping for the fourth. This is our 3rd year going to Cascade for their Thunder Mountain days. I always look forward to our camping trips with my family. We really rough it in the camp trailer, especially on this trip (hahahaha). We had to run everything off the generator there were not hook ups...but we seemed to make it through it.

On Saturday, we went to the Thunder Mountain Days parade, which is completely insane! For such a small town they put on a really good parade and every little kid is in the middle of the road. Thanks to Cheyenne this year. She really helped out with Cayden and Cailey. She was a lifesaver!

After the National Athem is sung two jets fly over everybody. Probably one of the best things about the parade. It always sends shivers down my spine! Cayden loved it!

Waiting for candy...which we got way too much of!

My beautiful sister and me...

After the parade is over we always head down to the flea market. It is a flea market...there really is nothing you need, but always fun to go to. This year we kind of lost Cailey. Worst feeling I have ever had!!!! We were looking at the sunglasses and she was by my side. Cody was leaning on the fence with Cadyen and keeping an eye on everything. My mom left and I was still looking at the glasses. When I was done, I assumed that my mom had Cailey. I asked Cody and he was not sure. I went down and found my mom with no Cailey! Instant panic!!!!! I couldn't even ask people if they had seen her without crying. Everybody in my family instantly started calling for her name and looking. We had stranger looking for her. Of course, when you ask people if they have seen a little blonde hair, blue eye girl about this high (using your hand), wearing a 4th of July shirt... she fits the description of every little girl there! After panic and about 4 mintues or so...it really felt like an hour. Tawnya called Tanner and his friend on his cell phone and Cailey was with them. Cailey saw Tanner and wanted to hang out with him and just left my side. However, Tanner did not even know she was them until he turned around and saw her. When he asked her if I knew where she was..She told him that I told her that she could go with him. Ugh! When Cheyenne brought her to me I was in tears and so was Cailey. I told her how somebody could have took her and she would never see any of us again! I think she learned her lesson becasue she asked from then on if she could go with somebody else. I am telling you that was the worst thing I have ever gone through!  But a good lesson for her to learn. Not to mention I was done with the flea market and ready to go back to camp!!!!

Got back to camp...Cailey went fishing with Cody. I so wish I was there! Cailey caught the first fish, reeled it in, touched it, held worms and everything. Of course, if I was there she probably would not have touched any of it! Cayden and I stayed at camp and took a nap.

That evening we made ice cream, in the ice cream ball,  had a great dinner and then watched the fireworks.

waiting for the fireworks to start. See how cold it was? Look at my mom!

This year, we froze our butts off! During the day it was nice enough to wear shorts and t-shirts, but in the evening boy, you needed your snow gear on! But we made the best out of it and had a lot of fun. Of course on our last day there, it was the nicest and we were able to go down to the lake for a little play in the sand and water. Oh well, maybe next year.

We came home Sunday, July 4th, just in time to go watch the fireworks that Emmett puts on which for a small town is really good!

Still here!

Of course I did not fall off the side of the earth. However, it almost felt like it! I lost my charger to my camera so I was not able to download any pictures onto the computer or take any pictures with that camera. RRRR. on the bright side though, I found it and my house is super clean because I tore it up looking for the stupid charger. And like always it was where it was supposed to be in its case! Anyways....a lot has happened.

Cody and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary and went out for a nice dinner with Matt & Becky Brown at Olive Garden and then went and saw the dumbest movie ever...Take him to Greek (or some stupid title like that!)

This is a picture of us right before we left. Thanks to Papa Fred, he babysat the kids for us.

I bought the kids season passes to the City Pool, so we are officially now pool rats because we go almost every day. The poor kids have to wear the nerdy swim shoes because the cement is eating up there toes. Even through the blistered and cut feet they love to go swimming and I love going to get a good tan (even though it is only on the top of my legs).

Poor Cailey spend some of her day looking out onto the big kid pool.
Dreaming of the day she gets to enter it. Me on the other hand, very content having her small!

Cailey loves her swim goggles! When we first got them she wore them all the time. She even told me that her breakfast tasted better with them on! She will go underwater only if she wears her goggles. She wears thems so loose that water fills them up, but it is the idea I guess.
Here we are getting ready to eat breakfast. Notice the goggles??

We had the Cherry Festival during this time too. I was very hard headed this year and did not allow the kids to ride the rides. The wrist braclets were $25.00 each. I thought this was just an outrages price to pay for this small of kids, and I was a little nervous about the weather staying okay to ride, and even if the kids would enjoy it. However, we did got down almost everynight and did a little something. I love how in small towns everything goes...We have two parades. One for the little kids and then a big parade. Of course we hit  both of them. I love parades! I love how the kids can sit on the curb, and be enterained the whole time by getting candy. I love the crap food, even though I really don't eat any of it. I just kind of pick off the kids' plates.
The kids waiting for the parade to start
I don't know what it is about balloons, but my kids love them!
Cailey waiting for the big parade to start
Cayden feeding the goats. Seriously, that is all Cailey wanted to do at the carival. She didn't even care about the rides. She just wanted to go to the petting zoo. Cayden loved it too.
