The past two weeks

Wow...I can't believe that we are already into two weeks of May. A lot has gone on within these last two weeks. The first week Cayden had to go to the emergency room for croop. It was horrible! He could not breath the whole night. When we got there they took us back and eventually gave him a breathing treatment, steriod shot, and some epephren (sp?) to help break the mucus up. It was so scary! One minute he was hardly staying awake (as you can see in the picture) and the next he was twitchy. I was afraid that night his heart was going to explode. Poor kid even had to wear a hospital gown.
Cailey had her last soccer game. I am kind of glad for that to be over with...Now I don't feel like we always have to be somewhere at a certain time. However, in a way already miss coaching those little tikes!
It was National Scrapbooking Day on the 1st Saturday of May. Yes, I know it sounds very dorky. However, it is one of those days I look forward to all year. I love all the sales and make and takes.
Here is a picutre of my stash that I got. My big small find...this adorable camera purse. It has a little place for your camera to fit along with your wallet and everything else.

Cailey had a insane birthday party to go to. It was a circus theme and it was great! There was a jump house, pony rides, face painting, little circus games to play with, a parachute to play with and "circus" food! Koodos to that mom!
Then of course it was Mother's Day... We slept in well past 9:30...the kids got me a toaster...We really needed one and I do enjoy my toast every morning. Cody hosed off the patio for me (something I wanted done for a while)...I took the kids to the greenhouse (never will do that again...nonstop FIGHTING)...and then we went grocery shopping (once again, never will do that again when they never had a nap...SCREAMING). So it really was not that bad of a day, but next year I AM RUNNING AWAY (at least for the day :))

Teacher appreciation day was also in the mix of things and I made these really cute cookies for Cailey's teachers. Of course they were cuter on the directions than when I did them, but for the first time they turned out pretty cute.

I end this blog post with a very warm sunny day. Which I am hoping there are many more to come (finally). I have high hopes for this summer, considering I don't have a baby, toddler, or being pregnant to keep me downand my kids can almost get by without naps. I plan on being outside a lot...swimming at the city pool (which I am thinking of buying a season pass), the dam, or whatever takes me out and about. BRING ON THE SUN
I think Miss Cailey Mae would agree
