February Project Life Update
Here are my pages for February...I am loving this idea more and more everyday...I feel like I am capturing so much more than my regulary albums do. I also like putting a picture into the small pockets when there is an extra space. I feel like the picture explains more for some of my journaling than one picture. Enjoy
The pictues that looks really blurry really is the picture I chose. It is a self portrait that my 4 year old did. I also put movie tickets into one of the small pockets. Later on life it will show how much movies cost. I hate to see what that will be one day!
And they came...
Happy Saint Patty's Day
The last couple of weeks have been quite eventful here at the house. We have been preparing up for Saint Patrick’s Day. I am not too sure why I got into so much this year, but it has been so much fun with the kids. The past couple of weeks we have been making homemade decorations (aren’t they the best?). Tons of glue and tons of glitter. Cailey loved doing the projects and dug right into them. Cayden, on the other hand, dipped his finger into the glue and instantly wanted his finger cleaned.
March 17th, the leprechauns came! Cody and Cailey were supposed to make a trap for the leprechaun, but it just did not happen. However, those sneaky leprechauns came into the house and left the kids a few treats. Cailey was so excited…The leprechaun’s name was Riley and he left a shamrock behind with his name on it.
However, Cailey’s logic is beginning to come into play and she started to think that the leprechaun never left the house. So we had to search the whole house (even under her bed) and make sure there were no leprechauns. But, that was not enough! I had to bring out the “magic” leprechaun spray (a spray bottle with nothing it) and let Cailey spray the whole house down so leprechauns will not get in! A very serious matter in our house.
Cody even got into the spirit of things...
For dinner we topped it off with: Green “pigs in a blanket” for the kids, green mashed potatoes, and green milk.
It was a great night!

And she is off....
Cailey Mae got a bike with training wheels last year and had no interest of it. Cayden, of course, wanted to be on it the minute he saw it.
So we finally got the tire fixed on it and brought it out for her to ride it and she LOVES it! She got on it and rode like she has been riding it for years! Now we just need to get her off the training wheels so she can go in the gravel. She is such a girl though. She only likes to ride it if she has her baby doll in with her.
Cayden still wants to try to ride it, even though he always ends up on his back when he does try. He is so funny, he does not ride anything unless he has his helmet on. I guess it is a good thing that he wants to have it on because Cailey does not want anything to do hers.
Cayden is so caring for Cailey too. If she wrecks on her bike, Cayden comes to the rescue and helps her pick her bike up and puts the dolly back in her seat. Funny how siblings treat each other because usually he is trying to pick a fight with her.

Update on the frog...AKA Tiger Stripes
Yes, the frog is still around and he is becoming more of a family member everyday! Not too sure how I feel about that, but I know on the day he dies I will be a little sad! We have finally convinced the kids on holding the frog, and I too have overcome my fear of it and held it.
The other night he finally croaked. VERY EXCITING!!! So I think that means he is finally happy in his home. So now we wait to hear him croak everynight.
I can just see it now...When the time comes to travel with cody in the trailer...the dog will have to go, the cat, the fish, and now the frog...I guess it could only get worse if we had a bird in the mix of it all.

Cayden was very proud of himself
Cailey thought it tickled and wanted it off as fast as we put it on her hand.
Spring is in the Air
You can always tell when Spring is in the air at the Cronquist home!
The slugbug comes out. Cayden is very excited about it!
We eat lunch outside! Some quality "man" time today eating on the tailgate
Cleaning up gravel and mud from the winter.
Freshly mowed grass! My favorite activity to do outside!
bounce house gets set up for the day.
The horses get out for some grooming and riding
I love Spring. But more importanly I love the SUN!!! I love how it makes you feel. I love that the kids get to play outside all day in it and sleep so well at night. Even at 58 degrees, I will take all the sun I can get; however, I will gladly accept warmer weather. I think this year will be one of the best summers yet. The kids are going to be old enough to go out and play on their own and I will be able to sit back and read a book. I am really excited to take them to the city pool and let them play in the kiddi pool while I catch some sun. Like I said, it is going to be a great summer!
